Avoiding Scams and Phishing Attempts On Telegram

Telegram Ads

When using Telegram bots, there are a lot of scammers trying to steal your money! Always remember this when using Telegram!

If you see an ad at the top of your screen that looks like this:

Do Not Click!

Scammers frequently use deceptive advertisements that mimic legitimate trading bots to trick users into compromising their funds. These fraudulent ads often claim to be urgent updates, displaying messages such as, "New TrojanBot Update! TrojanBot users click here to access the new bot!" Unsuspecting users who click on these links may unknowingly interact with a malicious bot designed to drain their wallets. To protect yourself, always ensure you are using the official bot page and never click on advertisements promoting updates or new versions unless they come directly from the verified source.

Impersonation

Another common tactic used by scammers involves impersonating support staff in trading and bot community groups. If you post a question in a legitimate group, you may receive direct messages almost instantly from individuals claiming to be from "support." These scammers go to great lengths to appear authentic, often replicating profile pictures and usernames of actual moderators, using subtle changes such as replacing an "o" with a zero (0). Many users overlook these minor differences and mistakenly believe they are speaking with legitimate support representatives. To avoid falling victim to these scams, never engage with unsolicited messages from strangers and never share sensitive information such as wallet details or passwords. Most official support teams conduct all assistance within the main group chat and will never message users privately without prior notice. If you do receive a message claiming to be from support, always verify the sender’s identity multiple times before responding.

If you stick to these rules, you will be perfectly fine!
